Pakistan lifts Ban on TikTok for a second time

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has withdrawn its decision to ban Tik Tak.

During the hearing, the court asked the PTA council to decide on the petitioner's plea by July 5, on which the PTA officials assured the court to decide on the due date.


The court directed the PTA to expedite the disposal of TikTok applications and withdrew the ban on the application and adjourned further hearing till July 5.


It may be recalled that the Sindh High Court had on June 28 ordered the suspension of the TikTok and the PTA had requested the court to withdraw the restraining order.


Earlier, the Peshawar High Court had also banned TikTok but another bench of the court had Lift the ban.
